Oksana, hello. Taking into account your extensive experience in the modeling industry, as you know, today we will «torture» you with questions about modeling. Do you remember your first modeling experience? When was this, and how did your modeling career start?

Yes, I remember very well the beginning. Since my childhood I was engaged in variety dances. When our DK (House of Culture) was the «Theater of Fashion», and each fall there was the casting to a model school. When I expressed a desire to participate, my friends, all of whom were 2 years older than me, explained to me how successfully pass it. I took part in a regular audition and passed it. Thus began my training in model school where we were taught posing in front of photo and video camera, and other basics of modeling art. My first work from a model agency - shooting on the costumes for the catalog of not well-known brand «Jotem». As a result of their shop, a big billboard with my face was put up.

At this stage you relocate to New York. What is the reason and why this city?

Yes, now I moved to New York because there are more opportunities for my creative development, and development in general at the moment. Will I stay here forever - it remains to be seen, but I was madly in love here. I feel comfortable, I am on my place in the «city of skyscrapers»

М.Д.: Сейчас Вы получаете второе высшее образование уже в Нью-Йорке. На кого учитесь? В связи с чем возникла потребность в учебе?  

О.Г.: Да, теперь я учусь в Нью Йорке. Здесь есть возможность получить диплом международного образца, а я считаю, что сегодня иметь такой - просто крайняя необходимость. Чтобы не закрываться в рамках одной страны, и иметь возможность работать в компании, содержащей несколько филиалов во всём мире, международный диплом - это первое дело. А раз уж я всё равно пока здесь, почему бы сразу не заняться этим вопросом?

I have a very strict mother, who has always paid much attention to me and my sister in childhood, she supervised and motivated me, and still does. I think in my life I am a lucky that have such a mom, I always call her the Queen with a capital letter. Since childhood, I was very obedient and responsible because I had a younger sister, who had to pay attention and be a good example for her. And among friends and girlfriends I had always been active, in the school wrote the scripts for all kinds of events. In the studio of variety dance, which I attended, I was one of the leaders. My choreographer even advised me to continue my studies in this direction, since then I have lived dances, besides I was a very creative person.

 Now you get the second higher education in the New York. Who are you going to be? What is the need to study?

Yes, now I’m in New York. Here is an opportunity to receive an international diploma, and I believe that today have such - just an urgent need. To not be closed within a country, and be able to work in the company, comprising several branches around the world, an international diploma - this is the first case. And while I’m still here so far, why not directly take this issue?

 If we talk about it, tell us your hobbies at the moment.

One of my hobbies today - picture. Photographer - it’s kind of an artist, this hobby that requires a creative approach to detail. I love it. I have great pleasure in doing photographing, besides the place of the photographer - all around the world, and I love to travel.

Travel is also one of my hobbies. It’s not just a trip for a vacation, it is a process of self-discovery, the school of life. After all, our planet is multifaceted and diverse. I visited different countries, learn culture and traditions of different peoples of our Earth, it’s very exciting. But always come back home joyful and pleasant.

At home in my spare time I am engaged in interior design. This is another interesting and exciting my passion, though not as easy as it might seem. Interior design an important part of comfortable living and recreation, creates the conditions for effective and fruitful work.

 Call three your strongest traits that make you as successful model today. First of all, we should mention that I am extremely determined person, so I’m not afraid of any difficulties. As for the three traits, then I think I will highlight such as the ability to think positively, wake up in a good mood and enjoy every day.

 What is your education?

My student’s years are far away from what I am doing now – by education I am a lawyer.

 How are you going to develop your modeling career in this situation? Do you have a «step by step instructions?» Instruction is, of course, and it is designed by me personally, but I ask - let the article «Practical tips for success from Oksana Gozener» will be released in the next issue of your magazine. At first I need to apply them in practice, to ensure in their work, and then to tell others.

Modelling for me - it’s just one of my hobbies. I repeat - I am a creative person. For example, I love fashion and I watch it constantly. Equally as much I do interior design, photography and sports, in particular - big tennis.

 It is interesting to know, and what qualities do you value the most in men? First, at the same time the basic quality - the mind that is education. Also important for me in a person - kindness, honesty and integrity.

 What place on earth do you consider the best and dearest for you, why?

Motherland - a ground on which a person was born and raised, but in the life a native land - the land on which you live and love! Native place for a person should only be one, but it turned out by the will of fate, I have four of them. This is Russia, Turkey, the United States and Italy, where I was born, where live my family, relatives and friends, which I appreciate, where I spent my student and unforgettable life, as well as in Milan, Istanbul, and of course - New York, in which I’m in love. Each of these places for me - native, and every I love in my own way.
